The abbey displays a few objects from the collections of the Société des Amis des Arts de Charlieu, founded in 1908 to safeguard the old town of Charlieu.

The religious art collection has been in the abbey’s cellar since 1984. These are polychrome wood statues depicting various saints, such as Saint Barbara, Saint Sebastian, Saint Roch, a number of Virgins with child, some of which are listed as Historic Monuments. They come from private donations or from the surrounding parishes.

The lapidary collection has been in the parlour since 1971 and includes pieces most of which come from the abbey, including capitals, modillions, pieces of statues, etc. These were found during the various different archaeological digs.

The bas-relief portraying Daniel in the lions’ den is the oldest work in the collection. It dates from the 10th century, and is recognisable due to its Carolingian interlacing motifs. It may have been a decorative component of a chancel in the second church.
